Lesson 7 of 7 · 5 min

Connect LINE

Set up a LINE Official Account, share your QR code, and keep scheduled messages working.

What you'll learn

  • Create or reuse a LINE Official Account
  • Understand how guests reach you on LINE
  • Choose a LINE messaging plan

1. Create a LINE Official Account

Create or open your LINE Official Account on the LINE Business website. If you already have one, you don't need a new one. Log in and follow the setup steps your StreamHost onboarding contact gives you.

2. The guest must message first

You can't start a conversation on LINE. The guest scans your QR code, sends a message, and then you can reply.

3. No reply window

Once a guest has contacted you, there's no time limit like WhatsApp's. You can message them at any time.

4. File limits

You can't send PDF or audio files through LINE.

5. Update the reservation by hand

LINE contacts don't match a booking automatically. After a guest's first LINE message, open the conversation and fill in their reservation details. Once you do, their scheduled messages send normally.

6. LINE plans and pricing

LINE charges by plan and by message count. As of October 2026, the monthly plans in Malaysia (in USD) are:

  • Communication: USD 0/month, 500 free messages.
  • Light: USD 50/month, 10,000 free messages.
  • Standard: USD 150/month, 40,000 free messages, then USD 0.05 per extra message.

Only Standard allows extra messages. On Communication and Light, sending stops at the limit until next month.
